The moons glistening rays shone down on my blue roaned pelt, thick muscles rippling beneath. I grinned, revealing my shining pearly whites hidden under my dark muzzle as the dense fog parted way for my burly frame. My ebony daggers tore at the soft rain soaked ground beneath as I moved into the region at a silent trot. "Ready or not here I come!!" My haunches tightened as my skull raised high into the air, my forelegs kicking out at the thick air viciously. A violent, nightmarish scream escaped my kissers as I clearly announced the Joker was in the house.
With the thick fog coupled with nights embrace it was impossible to see more than three or four feet in front of yourself. Perfect. My knife like daggers cut into the ground as I returned horizontal. It had been so long, I was ready to play. My powerful flanks hurled my bulk into a thundering gallop across the land, daggers tearing at the Earths skin as if I could gain something from it.
I would stop only when I encountered a fresh scent. A slight stir of fog brought what I was looking for, with a vengeance I forced myself faster. The sweaty lather now coating my dark hide. I initially felt confusion as the ground beneath my daggers subsided to exist. My heavy frame dropped, the sharp awaiting rocks beneath lashing out, just ready to spill my guts. Despite the impracticality I tried to right myself and gain my ground. That's when I felt the haunting of my past slipping into my desolate mind as warm crimson liquid seeped down my crania.
I grinned sadistically as the mare before me kicked out, aiming for my head. My own daggers met the challenge, raking her skin apart. Her scarlet life blood seeped out, back to the Earth as she ran for her life. I set off in pursuit. I would teach her for breaking my heart............
The blasted suns hot rays penetrated my eyelids, and I opened my aqua hued orbs to find myself laying at an awkward angle. With a soft grunt I heaved myself to my feet. Craning my neck around I spotted a steep embankment littered with sharp jutting rocks. My hide now bared a few gashes stained scarlett, and a couple smears of mud from the moist ground. I forced my aching bulk into a mellow lope to work out the kinks in my muscles. The land was still overcast and steaming with fog, but maybe I would be luckier today. It was with the same determination I set out upon my journey.

Her small ebony frame shivered as she continued trecking around the bog. Usually bogs were a little more well hidden, but, this one was not, for it was a gaping mud pit, almost quick-sand-like. She stiffened for a second as a screaming neigh came from one direction, but, just managed to keep her sanity.
She flicked her tail and quickened her pace around the circle of mud. "It sure is creepy at night, isn't it?" Sure, whatever, it's fine enough to me, it's no different from day, just dark...
"That's comforting... Just dark? Wow, there is much more different then just tha--" Lily stopped and watched as a horse trotted her way, the general look about the horse knocked Lily right out of her senses and a slightly blood thirsty look came into her eyes, "You killed mother! You.. you... you murdered her! WHY? WHY?"
She started to gallop, anger clouding Karasu's thoughts. She pulled back her lips, making a most unhorse like face and with a dark growling noise prepared to rip his throat out. Kara reared up and aimed a kick at his face, but, her mind was cloude by Lily's cries. STOP! Please! STOP! Don't hurt this horse, you don't even know him!
Lily gained control and her body relaxed. The anger drained from her eyes and she blinked, uncertain of what had happened. She saw the black horse and smiled, "Hi there! What's your name?" She stepped back a few steps, realizing she was within inches of him.

I halted in my steps as a lovely scent wafted to my nares. The femine perfume of a mare was unmistakable, and my ebony daggers tore at the Earth as I dance in place, my orbs seeking the lovely creature. My swiveling ears caught the sound of rapidly approaching hoof beats and I turned my spotted bodice in time to see the outline of a mare raging towards me, an ugly grimace plastered to her skull. Her pelt was as black as onyx, and the light from the sky glistened off it. Such a beautiful creature she was!
I simply stood, allowing her to approach. The beauty hardly slowed, and I cocked my ears curiously. As her bodice was heaved into the air by powerful muscles I got the slight thought that she was intent on doing bodily harm. But why? I would have remembered such a mare...I would have kept her of course. My harks twisted backwards and I raised my crown, side stepping lightly. I was slightly annoyed, yet fascinated. It was foolish for a fae to attack a unknown stallion, yet so very gutsy.
At the last minute she seemed to come to her senses and returned to the ground, no harm done to either of us. My muzzle twisted into a sly grin as I introduced myself. "A pleasure to meet such a beautiful creature of the night miss! They call me Joker, lord only knows why. I'll bet you have a pretty name to go along with your pretty self don't ya?" I was turning on the full charm, I was clearly interested in this mare given her odd entrance. Either I wasn't who she thought I was, or she was crazier than I.

She smiled at him, Lily breathed hard from her random gallop. She flicked back her black mane and looked him over with her blue eyes. She cocked her head at him and wondered where he had come from and how she had gotten here. Her nares flickered as she scented the salty smell of blood and her eyes traced over a few gashes on his barrel. Look, he has blood on him... He's a psycho, lets leave. Karasu's voice rang within Lily's mind. Lily snorted and stamped her foot.
"No silly! He's probably not a psycho... Well, lets hope not..." Lily smiled and laughed. She flicked her tail, whipping at the annoying flies who seemed to enjoy pestering horses like her. Pah! Hope isn't going to do anything when he rips out your throat. At least I'll have time to run while he kills you! She pulled her head back in confusion and snapped, "You wouldn't leave me! I'd trip you before you could! So there!" She laughed again and completely ignored the stallion, who was probably regretting talking to the strange fae, although, he didn't have much choice. In Lily's mind she could hear Karasu stamp her foot and snort angrily. Karasu didn't reply so Lily moved her attention back onto the stallion, Joker.
"Oh I'm sorry. I guess I should introduce my sister!" Lily turned her head over her shoulder and spoke softly, "Come here Karasu, don't be grumpy, I'm sorry... 'Kay?" She smiled and motioned with her head for him to come. I don't want too... Karasu said sullenly. "Well fine then! She snorted and turned back to Joker. She smiled and thought about the horse, he was quite handsome and tall. "Sorry, Karasu doesn't want to come but that's her." Lily shrugged, or at least shrugged as much as a horse could shrug. It didn't even occur to her that no one was actually there. People have tried to explain it to her before but Lily's mind was a complex place and they could never find there way through that maze. She was an unfix able creature.

I was taken back slightly. She was rather spontaneous and perky compared to the blood thirsty mare who charged over here just seconds before. "Why thank you gorgeous! Well Lilly, I must say what a pleasure it is to meet you. This is my first time visiting these lands." The onyx fae with pristine aqua orbs really was quite stunning to behold.
Only then did I sincerely start to wonder what in the world I'd gotten myself into this time. I mean I'd been chased off by rival stallions, beaten on by mares, and just about everything you could think of. But this. This was odd, even to me. Lilly, seemed to be having a conversation inside her own mind. I simply watched, ever more curious. A normal horse may have ran or sneaked off quietly, but naaah. I like gals that were a little on the wild side.
Now her attention was back on me, partially. Evidently I got the honor of meeting her...sister. Well then. "T'aww, well tell your sister its nice to meet her too. Guess I'm too scary, huh?" I grinned, my lips pulling back from my ivories in a playful grin. Well, as much as one could manage anyway.
