Name: Vida -- Radar
Breed: Australian Stock Horse -- Thoroughbred
Age: 4 yrs -- 6 yrs
Gender: Mare -- Stallion
Height: 15hh -- 16.3hh
Coat Color/Special Markings: Buttermilk Buckskin (very light, almost white with black points), barely visible white star on forehead -- Bright, orange chestnut with a star between his eyes and a large, white snip just above his nostrils
Eye Color: Brown
Personality: Vida is the classic, timid wild hose. She flees at the sight of danger, stays constantly aware and never sleeps too deeply. She finds amusement in show offs but thinks little of them. It's hard to win her over but with the right actions a stallion, mare or even human could earn her loyalty for life. She rarely betrays those she is loyal to, those she isn't however, should be careful what they tell her as she will not hesitate to tell an enemy secret information when asked. Some believe she betrays them just to be mean, others believe it might be because she is bored, the real reason is hardly ever guessed. Vida simply doesn't know in who her trust should lie unless they have proven themselves to her.
Radar is a tad big headed at times and very protective of Vida who has forged a fantastic bond with him. Radar wants fight every horse or human who p*sses him off. He loves to have big herds but when the humans come or other stallions turn up, he would choose Vida over a herd of twenty which is why he and Vida and currently alone. Radar also has a soft side for mares who don't like the stallion who 'owns' them. He is often found stealing them right under the other stallions nose. Before going back to fight him of course. Radar is intelligent when he needs to be, very few can outsmart him. If he wasn't so intent with one paticular mare, he could have the largest herd in the hills but of course that will never happen now.
History: Vida began life with the humans. Her mother was a domestic mare, even her mother's mother had been domestic. When Vida was one year old and the humans began her training she yearned for a different life. Very few of the humans were ever too kind to Vida, she never trusted any of them except one little girl. This girl was the only one Vida missed when one night her paddock gate was left unlocked and a herd grazed nearby. Vida barely took a minte to decide what life to live. She escaped into the night while her mother, in another yard, paced frantically up and down the fence line calling to Vida as she ran.
Radar has never even touched a human. His mother was part of a large herd ran by a horrible stallion who was known for killing his weak offspring. As a baby, Radar was big and strong which is why he lived but he watched so many of his companions die. Radar was split from the herd during a roundup and never saw them again. That was when he began his own herd. He often grazed them close to the humans so he could keep an eye on roundups until one night when he met Vida. Vida had escaped her yard and wanted to be wild. After a nervous meeting, Radar taught her as much as he could. Now he runs with only her, trying to hold down a herd.
Other: Trust issues obviously drown this mare -- Anger issues?
