- territorial; doesn't like hates it when strangers get near his mares or foals.
- determined; if he wants something, he will either get it or die trying.
- believes that the ends justify the means.
- will break down if he has done something that he knows deep, deep down is wrong.
- doesn't believe in monogamy.
- can't tolerate stupidity.
- protective; his mares and foals are the most important things in his life. if they are injured under his care, all of his work will have been for nothing.
- does his best to take care of and inspire his 'comrades.'
History:
- his ancestors, a herd of fine Spanish horses, were wrecked on an island off of the shores of DWD in the late 1600s. while some of the shipwrecked horses died, many lived and bred.
- centuries pass.
- Conquistador is born to the modern-day boss mare, Isabella, and the herd stallion, Magellan. Isabella, unhappy with yet another son, gave him to a herd mare named Mary to nurse and raise while she took an orphaned filly to raise as her heir. Mary, proud to be raising the boss mare's son, raised him as if he were twin to her own son, Cortes.
- When the two of them became fertile at the age of one and a half, Cortes was chosen to be Magellan's successor. Cortes was in training for six months when Magellan gave him his first task: chase Conquistador off of the island.
- Conquistador calmly accepted his fate. He swam toward the mainland, ready to start his life as an adult stallion.
